ReChess Privacy Policy

This policy explains how information is handled when you use the ReChess mobile application and website. ReChess is operated by سعود فنيسان. For privacy questions, contact fnissaan@hotmail.com. Oddturn Studios is the parent studio brand; it does not replace the operator identified here.

1. Games, analysis and information on your device

ReChess does not require a ReChess account. Imported games, completed reviews, language preferences and related app state are stored locally on your device. Stockfish analysis runs on your device; ReChess does not upload games to a ReChess analysis service. Device backups may include app data according to your operating-system and backup settings.

This does not mean every feature works without a network connection. Imports, purchases, advertising, website access and support use the services described below.

2. Importing public games

When you request a Chess.com or Lichess import, ReChess sends the public username or game identifier needed to retrieve games to that service's API. Requests also disclose ordinary network and request information, including your IP address. ReChess does not ask for your Chess.com or Lichess password or sign in to those accounts. Imported games are saved locally.

3. Purchases and subscriptions

Apple handles payments. ReChess does not receive your payment-card details. RevenueCat manages purchase validation, subscription status and Premium entitlements. This involves Apple transaction and purchase-history information, an anonymous app user identifier, and technical app/device information used by the purchase service. RevenueCat also processes purchase information for its subscription analytics. ReChess does not require a named account to use these features.

Deleting games or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions through iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Apple and RevenueCat retain information according to their own practices and applicable obligations.

4. Advertising and privacy choices

Eligible Free game analyses may be followed by a full-screen advertisement. The first successful review and reopening completed saved reviews are ad-free. Ad availability depends on advertising eligibility and successful loading. Premium removes advertising placements; it does not remove purchase processing or establish that all third-party processing stops.

ReChess uses Google AdMob and requests non-personalized ads. Before requesting an ad, the application checks eligibility through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) and displays required forms when the platform indicates they are needed. Available choices depend on applicable requirements and the consent configuration. Declining personalization does not necessarily eliminate advertising or all advertising-related processing. Ad privacy options are available in Settings when required by UMP.

Google's SDKs may process IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them, app- or device-related identifiers, advertising data, product interactions, crash reports, performance information and other diagnostics for their documented advertising, analytics, security and service purposes. Non-personalized advertising does not mean no personal information is processed. ReChess does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency authorization. This statement does not describe included SDKs as identifier-free or make a blanket claim that every form of tracking-related processing is absent.

ReChess requests advertising content rated for general audiences. This is an advertising content setting, separate from privacy choices.

5. Usage and diagnostic processing

ReChess does not operate a separate first-party analytics or crash-reporting service. Included third-party SDKs may process usage, performance and diagnostic information for their documented purposes. Subscription analytics and advertising diagnostics are distinct from uploading a game for chess analysis.

6. Website hosting and support

The ReChess website is hosted on Vercel. Existing legal and source links also use Netlify. Hosting providers process technical request information, including IP address and request details, for delivery, security and operation. The website does not add a sign-in service, advertising SDK, contact form or separate analytics tracker.

If you email support, the developer and email providers receive the information you choose to send and ordinary email metadata. Share a PGN only if you are comfortable doing so. Do not send passwords, payment details or receipt credentials. Voluntarily emailing a game is separate from the app's on-device analysis.

7. Retention, deletion and your choices

You can delete locally saved games and reviews through Settings → Delete All Games. This removes those records from ReChess on that device; it does not cancel subscriptions, delete provider-held records or remove copies in device backups. Uninstalling removes the app and its app-container data, while backups and retained purchase identity may be handled separately by the operating system or providers.

Information held by Apple, RevenueCat, Google, import services, hosting providers and email providers is subject to their own retention practices and legal obligations. This policy does not promise a fixed retention period for those services. Available rights and actions depend on applicable law and which service holds the information.

8. Children and family questions

ReChess does not ask users to provide a date of birth. Parents or guardians with questions about information concerning a child can contact fnissaan@hotmail.com. Please avoid including unnecessary personal information in support requests. Third-party services may apply their own age-related requirements and protections.
